Weekly Photo Challenge: Horizon

Lake Placid, NY in winter

Around this time of year, I used to fly up to Saranac Lake, NY and then take a short drive over to Lake Placid. It was one of my favorite business trips that I always looked forward to. Lake Placid was the site of the winter olympics back in 1932 and 1980 and there’s plenty of winter sports activities to enjoy like skiing, bobsled runs, sleigh rides and even dogsled rides. I love coming here and staying at my favorite lakeside hotel, enjoying the sunsets and sunrise from the view of my room.

For this week’s photo challenge, I opted to show a few pics of my favorite wintertime destination, specifically the mountains off in the horizon.
